Early verdict: only a few in-depth reviews are out so far. We update this page as more reviews are published.

The verdict

This is an early verdict based on one outlet, FoneArena, so treat it with caution. It found the Enco X4 comfortable and secure, effective at noise cancelling for the price, and very good on calls. Out of the box, the sound is bright and the default bass preset is muddy, though EQ changes help a lot. Battery life is average for the price. If you’re happy to adjust EQ settings, it looks promising, but wait for more reviews if you want a firmer picture.

Best for: Buyers who want a lightweight, secure-fitting earbud with good noise cancelling and calls, and don’t mind tweaking EQ.
Skip it if: You want a balanced sound with no adjustment, or you need confirmation from several independent reviews before buying.

What reviewers liked

  • Fits securely and stays put while running and cycling, at 5.6 g per earbud
  • Noise cancelling blocks outdoor noise well for the price, and adaptive mode works automatically
  • Call quality is excellent, with wind noise fully removed
  • Detailed, crisp vocals, and clean sound after EQ with the Dynaudio preset
  • Fast charging is quick, and regular use lasted 5 days before a case charge

What they didn’t

  • Out-of-box treble is bright and can sound fatiguing at higher volumes
  • The default bass preset in the app muddies the sound
  • Call battery lasts only 4 hours, and the wireless case takes about 2.5 hours to charge fully
  • Faint traffic noise is still audible on calls
  • Only one outlet’s review informs this page

In detail

Sound quality: 7.3/10

Only FoneArena covers sound quality, so there is nothing to compare it against. It describes the default tuning as energetic and mid-forward, with crisp, detailed vocals. The treble is noticeably bright, though, and FoneArena found it sharp or fatiguing at higher volumes. The default bass preset in the app muddied the soundstage instead of tightening the punch. The reviewer’s fix was the Dynaudio High Resolution preset combined with a manual bass boost in the EQ, which gave clean and engaging sound. In short, good potential, but expect to spend time in the app.

Noise cancelling: 8.1/10

FoneArena is the only outlet we found testing noise cancelling. It found the ANC blocks ambient sound effectively outdoors and does a good job for the price. Adaptive noise cancellation adjusted automatically to the environment and worked well. The one caveat concerns calls: call noise cancelling removed wind noise completely but left traffic faintly audible. There is no disagreement in the reviews we read, but also no second opinion. FoneArena’s praise is positive without calling it class-leading.

Comfort & fit: 8.9/10

FoneArena is the only outlet here to cover comfort and fit, and it had no complaints. The earbuds fit the reviewer’s ears perfectly and did not fall out during outdoor activities such as running or cycling. FoneArena also notes each earbud weighs 5.6 grams, giving a lightweight and secure in-ear fit. The review doesn’t describe a long-session comfort test, and fit is personal, so ear shape may change your experience. Without other reviewers, this is a good sign rather than a settled result.

Battery life: 7.3/10

FoneArena, the only outlet covering battery, measured about 5.5 hours of playback using the LHDC codec at 60% volume with mixed ANC use. Regular use lasted 5 days before the case needed charging. It says 10 minutes of fast charging gives 14 hours of combined playback from case and earbuds, though this was not tested. Call battery is about 4 hours, which FoneArena attributes to call noise cancelling. The wireless charging case took about 2.5 hours to charge fully with the earbuds inside. Overall this is an average result for the price, with quick top-ups but slow full charging.

Call quality: 8.9/10

FoneArena found call quality excellent, and it is the only outlet we read on this. Wind noise was completely eliminated on calls. The only complaint was that traffic noise stayed faintly audible. That is a small flaw next to the overall praise. With one reviewer and no comparison against other earbuds, it’s worth reading further reviews if calls in busy streets matter most to you.

App & connectivity: too little evidence to score

There is too little evidence to judge app and connectivity, so we haven’t scored it. The only relevant finding comes from FoneArena, which notes support for LHDC 5.0 lossless audio at 2.3 Mbps on compatible devices, such as the OPPO Find X10. FoneArena did not test this. It also used the app’s EQ and presets when assessing sound, but did not review the app’s wider features or connection stability. Check device compatibility before relying on LHDC.

How we put this together

We read the reviews and articles listed above and weigh each by how much it should count: in-depth, hands-on testing with measurements counts most; launch news and press-release rewrites count least; sponsored content is penalised. Category scores are our trust-weighted summary of what those sources found, set to the same 10-point scale reviewers use; the reviewers’ own scores, where published, are listed above. This page was compiled with AI assistance and checked against the source notes. All findings belong to the outlets credited above; follow the links to read their full reviews. How we score.
