Reviewers’ own scores: Smartprix Bytes 7.7/10

Early verdict: only a few in-depth reviews are out so far. We update this page as more reviews are published.

The verdict

This is an early verdict. Only one outlet, Smartprix Bytes, has published a full review, and the other sources we read are mostly spec lists or hands-on impressions. Battery life and charging look strong, and design and display draw mild praise. Performance is described as adequate rather than class-leading, and both Digit and Smartprix Bytes are lukewarm on price. It suits buyers who put endurance and durability first.

Best for: Buyers who want a long-lasting, water- and dust-resistant phone and can accept mid-range performance.
Skip it if: You want the strongest processor for the money, NFC or an always-on display, or you’d rather wait for more full reviews.

  • Smartprix Bytes measured more than 9 hours of screen-on time on 5G from the 8,000mAh battery
  • 80W wired charging filled the battery in about 1 hour 10 minutes in Smartprix Bytes’ test
  • IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection, cited by all outlets
  • 1.5K AMOLED display with 1,800 nit peak brightness and good outdoor visibility per FoneArena
  • Wide 50MP selfie camera that fits groups, per Smartprix Bytes

What they didn’t

  • Priced above rivals and higher than the F33 Pro, according to Digit and Smartprix Bytes
  • Dimensity 7360 Max is better than the F33 Pro’s chip but not class-leading, per Smartprix Bytes
  • No NFC or always-on display, and the frame is plastic rather than metal
  • 91mobiles found the display brightness on the low side in hands-on use

In detail

Camera: 7.6/10

The camera evidence is thin. All four outlets list the same hardware: a 50MP main camera with optical stabilisation, an 8MP ultrawide and a 50MP selfie camera. Only Smartprix Bytes offers a judgement, and it is mildly positive. It says the 1/2-inch main sensor and stabilisation improve low-light detail and reduce blur compared with the F33 Pro, and that the 100° selfie lens fits three or four people without cropping. It did not publish measured image results, and it treats the ultrawide as basic. Its video-spec details are also not fully consistent, so check the recording modes before buying.

Battery life: 9.3/10

Battery life is the clearest strength. Smartprix Bytes tested the 8,000mAh battery and measured more than 9 hours of screen-on time on 5G, which it calls excellent. Digit reports two days of backup under heavy use, though that is not presented as a measured test. Digit also notes the cell is larger than the Reno 16c’s 7,000mAh. Gizbot says Oppo’s Battery Health Engine keeps 80% capacity after 1,600 charge cycles; that is a manufacturer-style figure, not an independent result. 91mobiles and FoneArena mostly list the capacity. No outlet reported weak endurance.

Performance: 7.7/10

Performance is adequate, not a highlight. All four outlets name the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max, but only some judge it. Digit says it handles daily tasks, heavy multitasking and demanding gaming well, though that appears to come from the spec sheet. Smartprix Bytes is more measured: it beats the F33 Pro but falls below class-leading for the price. 91mobiles’ hands-on says it suits everyday use, and credits the vapor chamber with helping prevent throttling. None of the outlets we read published benchmark results, so heavy gamers should wait for tested numbers.

Display: 8.1/10

Outlets agree on a 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with 1,800 nits peak brightness. They differ on the top refresh rate, with 91mobiles citing up to 144Hz and others giving 120Hz. Smartprix Bytes says the brightness improves sunlight readability over the F33 Pro and lists 2160Hz PWM dimming. FoneArena’s hands-on also reports good outdoor visibility. 91mobiles liked the vibrant visuals, smooth animations and responsive touch, even when wet, but felt the brightness was on the low side despite the rated figure. Digit lists specs only. No outlet measured brightness.

Software: 8.0/10

Software evidence is limited. Digit and Smartprix Bytes both list ColorOS 16.5, though the outlets disagree on whether it sits on Android 16 or Android 17, so confirm that before buying. Only Smartprix Bytes gives a verdict: it finds everyday use smoother than the F33 Pro’s software. It also reports 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches, which it treats as a neutral point rather than a selling point. None of the outlets we read gave a verdict on preinstalled apps or bloat.

Charging: 8.0/10

Every outlet cites 80W SuperVOOC wired charging, but only Smartprix Bytes tested it. It found a full charge of the 8,000mAh battery takes about 1 hour 10 minutes, which it considers quick for a battery this large. It also notes 27W reverse wireless charging. Gizbot describes temperature control during charging, plus slower charging after 80% to protect battery health. Gizbot’s piece says it will run its own timed charging tests, but the figures we read are not results. With only one tested outlet, treat the charge time as a single data point.

Design & build: 8.5/10

Durability is the high point. All outlets cite IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection. FoneArena praised the IP69K rating for withstanding hot, pressurised jets, and liked the non-slip matte back. Smartprix Bytes and 91mobiles both say the 210g weight, up from the F33 Pro’s 194g, is not bothersome in use. 91mobiles found the flat edges easy to grip. The complaints are minor. Smartprix Bytes notes a plastic frame instead of metal, and 91mobiles saw fingerprints on the Twilight Brown camera module. Digit only lists the ratings.

Value: 6.3/10

Value is the weakest area. Digit says the phone launched at Rs 45,999 in India, Rs 1,000 more than the Vivo V70 FE. It also has a less powerful processor than the OnePlus Nord 6, though its 8,000mAh battery sits between the Nord 6’s 9,000mAh and the Vivo’s 7,000mAh. Smartprix Bytes criticises a price rise over the F33 Pro while NFC and an always-on display are still missing. FoneArena and Gizbot list price or rival specs without a verdict. Prices elsewhere were not in the reviews we read.

How we put this together

We read the reviews and articles listed above and weigh each by how much it should count: in-depth, hands-on testing with measurements counts most; launch news and press-release rewrites count least; sponsored content is penalised. Category scores are our trust-weighted summary of what those sources found, set to the same 10-point scale reviewers use; the reviewers’ own scores, where published, are listed above. This page was compiled with AI assistance and checked against the source notes. All findings belong to the outlets credited above; follow the links to read their full reviews. How we score.
