The verdict
Across four outlets (TechRadar, NotebookCheck, Android Central and Mashable), the Watch GT 7 Pro comes across as a strong fitness and outdoor smartwatch. Tracking was accurate in the tests we read, battery life runs to a week or more, and the screen and titanium build impressed. The weak spot is software: NotebookCheck found a thin app store, a limited voice assistant and an unreliable payment feature. Price and value were not covered in the reviews we read, so we can’t judge them.
Best for: Anyone who wants an accurate, long-lasting fitness and outdoor watch with a premium build and cares less about third-party apps.
Skip it if: You rely on a smartwatch for third-party apps, smart home control, music services, banking or dependable mobile payments.

In detail
Health & fitness accuracy: 8.7/10
The accuracy results are a clear strength. NotebookCheck compared exercise heart rate with a Polar H10 and found a very small average deviation, with a maximum gap of 6 bpm. Its blood oxygen readings, checked against a Braun pulse oximeter, were off by about 1% on average and by at most 3 percentage points. TechRadar tested GPS on a hike: the signal locked on quickly, stayed stable between rock walls and in caves, and the data closely matched a Garmin watch. NotebookCheck also described sleep tracking with stage breakdowns, trends and respiratory analysis, though it did not test it. TechRadar noted heart rate recovering from 105 to 84 bpm within a minute of stopping activity.
Battery life: 9.3/10
Reviewers agree battery life is strong, though real-world figures vary with use. TechRadar lists up to 21 days at maximum, up to 12 days of normal use, up to 7 with the always-on display, and up to 51 hours of GPS tracking. Those are listed figures. In its own testing, TechRadar found it easily lasts more than a week. NotebookCheck got 10 days with intensive use and about a week even with multiple workouts and navigation on. Android Central saw roughly 7 days with heavy use, including always-on display and 24/7 health monitoring. NotebookCheck measured charging at 10–56% in 30 minutes, and about 90 minutes for a full charge of the 876 mAh battery.
Software & apps: 7.7/10
This is the weakest area, and the evidence comes mainly from NotebookCheck’s testing. It found call quality impressive, with a loud speaker and little echo of the wearer’s voice, and typing replies on the QWERTY keyboard became nearly error-free with practice. The downsides are larger. Celia, the voice assistant, has very limited functions and cannot search the internet or navigate. The app store lacks smart home, popular music and banking apps. Curve Pay sometimes showed a successful payment that the terminal had not processed. The watch also needs the Huawei Health app, and NotebookCheck noted extensive data-processing consents each time an app is opened.
Display: 9.2/10
All four outlets were positive about the screen. TechRadar and Mashable both describe a 1.47-inch round AMOLED panel at 466×466 pixels. TechRadar found text, maps and graphics sharp, and Mashable described vibrant colours and readable training data. Peak brightness is 3,000 nits. TechRadar found the screen readable in direct sunlight, and Android Central saw clear viewing in harsh sun. Mashable, citing Huawei’s figure, called it among the brightest smartwatch displays. Mashable also noted that sapphire glass resists scratches and fingerprints better than standard glass, although it did not test this. No reviewer raised a display complaint.
Comfort & design: 9.1/10
Reviewers liked the build. Android Central said the titanium chassis and ceramic bezel are more elegant and better made than rival smartwatches. Mashable described a luxury look that still works as a durable outdoor sports watch. The fluoroelastomer strap has a honeycomb pattern, and NotebookCheck noted buttons on the underside for swapping straps without tools. Android Central found the EasyCross band tucks underneath for a cleaner look. NotebookCheck weighed the watch at 79.6 g with strap and 56.6 g without. Android Central cited 55 g, heavier than the Pixel Watch 5’s 37 g, and said that gives a feel closer to a regular watch. Android Central also lists 5ATM and IP69 ratings and dive-readiness to 40 meters, untested.

We read the reviews and articles listed above and weigh each by how much it should count: in-depth, hands-on testing with measurements counts most; launch news and press-release rewrites count least; sponsored content is penalised. Category scores are our trust-weighted summary of what those sources found, set to the same 10-point scale reviewers use; the reviewers’ own scores, where published, are listed above. This page was compiled with AI assistance and checked against the source notes. All findings belong to the outlets credited above; follow the links to read their full reviews. How we score.
