The verdict

Across three in-depth reviews, the Realme P4 Pro is seen as a long-lasting phone with a very bright, smooth display and steady gaming performance. Software clutter and a weak ultrawide camera hold it back. Evidence on software and value is thin, so treat this as a medium-confidence verdict.

Best for: Buyers who want multi-day battery life, a bright screen and cool, steady gaming.
Skip it if: You want a clean, polished software experience or the fastest chip in its class.

In detail

Camera: 7.7/10

Reviewers agree the 50MP main camera and the selfie camera do well in daylight, while the 8MP ultrawide is the weak spot. FoneArena found good daylight shots with stabilisation and automatic HDR, and said the new 50MP front camera is much better than the P3 Pro’s. Digit praised crisp detail and vibrant colour. Low light divides them: Smartprix Bytes liked its low-noise night shots, NotebookCheck found the main camera short on sharpness and detail in the dark, and FoneArena said night mode takes several seconds to process. FoneArena also noted image quality falls off beyond 10x zoom.

Battery life: 9.5/10

Every outlet was positive. FoneArena measured over 6.5 hours of screen-on time across more than two days, mostly on Wi-Fi with some 5G at 144Hz. Smartprix Bytes got two days of casual use, or 7+ hours of 144fps gaming, without charging. MySmartPrice Gear recorded 22 hours 23 minutes in the PCMark battery test, though that outlet’s evidence is thinner. NotebookCheck called battery life exceptional and said it can last two days, without publishing test data. Digit, which lists a 7,000mAh battery with 80W charging, judged it the right mix against rivals but gave no measured result.

Performance: 9.0/10

Outlets agree the phone runs stably and stays cool. FoneArena recorded 98.4% in the 3DMark Wild Life stress test, with only a 7 degree temperature rise and no frame drops in COD, BGMI or Genshin Impact. Smartprix Bytes found it ahead of nearly every rival and its CPU much cooler after 90 minutes of gaming. Others are more reserved. Digit noted its AnTuTu score of over 1 million trails the iQOO Neo 10R’s 1.5 million, and that 120-144 FPS gaming dips in intense scenes. MySmartPrice Gear saw only 38 FPS in Genshin Impact on high settings. NotebookCheck called it adequate rather than the best.

Display: 9.4/10

The display is the most consistently praised part. Digit’s tests measured a peak brightness of 3090 nits, above the iQOO Neo 10R and the Edge 60 Pro, and a colour error of 0.9 that matches the Neo 10R. FoneArena and Smartprix Bytes both cited a 6500 nit peak and called sunlight visibility excellent. NotebookCheck named the 144Hz screen a highlight. Minor gripes: FoneArena and Smartprix Bytes said 144Hz is rarely used, FoneArena noted no DC dimming, and Smartprix Bytes said AI frame generation adds latency and artifacts. NotebookCheck also saw oversharpening in some scenarios. MySmartPrice Gear gave no verdict.

Software: 6.1/10

Evidence here is thin, and it is the weakest area. Smartprix Bytes criticised Realme UI 6 for heavy bloatware, including Game Center, Hot Apps, Finshell, Facebook, Snapchat and Netflix, and said some of it comes back after a reset. NotebookCheck reported bugs, duplicate preinstalled apps of little value and a lack of polish at release, but expected the minor glitches to be fixable by updates. Digit only noted that the phone ships with Realme UI 6 based on Android 15 and gave no verdict. Only two outlets judged the software, so this view may change as updates arrive.

Charging: 8.5/10

Two outlets tested the 80W charger and got near-identical results. FoneArena measured 50% in under 30 minutes and a full charge in under an hour with the SuperVOOC charger. Smartprix Bytes reached 50% in 25 minutes and a full charge in under 60 minutes. Both call it fast, though Smartprix Bytes stressed it is not record-breaking. Neither outlet covered wireless charging, so we cannot say whether the phone supports it. With only two outlets testing this, confidence is moderate.

Design & build: 9.1/10

Reviewers like the build. FoneArena, Digit and Smartprix Bytes all highlighted the light 189g weight and balanced feel despite the 7,000mAh battery, and Smartprix Bytes gave the thickness as 7.7mm. FoneArena said the matte finish resists fingerprints. NotebookCheck found it premium-feeling and thinner than its predecessor. Water resistance is where they differ: FoneArena cited IP68/IP69, while Digit, Smartprix Bytes and NotebookCheck listed IP65/IP66, the latter two calling it a step down from the P3 Pro. Digit also warned that the curved screen is more fragile in drops than a flat one.

Value: 7.5/10

Evidence on value is limited. NotebookCheck made the clearest case, saying that at 78% of the Realme 15 Pro’s cost the P4 Pro delivers nearly the whole 15 Pro experience. MySmartPrice Gear called it a strong choice for a reliable daily phone with long battery life and solid performance, but made no price comparison. Digit listed the 8GB+256GB model at Rs 30,999 in India without giving a verdict. Check current local pricing before you buy, since the reviews we read offer little beyond that.

How we put this together

We read the reviews and articles listed above and weigh each by how much it should count: in-depth, hands-on testing with measurements counts most; launch news and press-release rewrites count least; sponsored content is penalised. Category scores are our trust-weighted summary of what those sources found, set to the same 10-point scale reviewers use; the reviewers’ own scores, where published, are listed above. This page was compiled with AI assistance and checked against the source notes. All findings belong to the outlets credited above; follow the links to read their full reviews. How we score.
