Reviewers’ own scores: Smartprix Bytes 4/5
The verdict
The reviews we read agree the K14x 5G is a battery-first budget phone that handles everyday tasks smoothly. They are less impressed by its HD+ LCD display, modest cameras and limited heavy gaming. Evidence is moderate: three in-depth reviews from two outlets, so treat this as a fairly firm but not final picture. Smartprix Bytes gave its own score of 4 out of 5.
Best for: Buyers who want long battery life, a headphone jack and smooth day-to-day use at a low price.
Skip it if: You want a sharp, bright display, strong selfies or reliable demanding 3D gaming.

In detail
Camera: 6.0/10
Most outlets only listed camera specs, so the judging evidence is limited. Smartprix Bytes found the 50MP main camera sharp and well balanced in daylight, and said AI portrait processing helps skin tones and subject separation. MySmartPrice Gear was cooler: it said the camera could be better in challenging light and rated the main camera higher than portrait mode. Beebom and Smartprix Bytes both flagged the 5MP front camera as weaker than a sibling model’s, and Smartprix Bytes noted no optical stabilisation and a 1080p60 video limit against a rival’s 4K30. Overall: fine in daylight, modest elsewhere.
Battery life: 8.6/10
Battery is the strongest point, though only two outlets judged endurance. Smartprix Bytes measured about 10 hours of screen-on time under heavy multitasking including social apps, video, maps and calls. It also said the phone lasted a full day of streaming, navigation and gaming with charge left over. MySmartPrice Gear called the battery backup reliable, without giving measurements. Other outlets only listed the 6,500mAh capacity. Smartprix Bytes also relayed official figures of over 22 hours of video playback and over 11 hours of gaming, which it did not test. Overall, expect comfortable all-day use.
Performance: 7.0/10
Outlets agree the Dimensity 6300 suits everyday use and casual gaming, with AnTuTu results of roughly 570,000 to 580,000 from Beebom, MySmartPrice Gear and Smartprix Bytes. Smartprix Bytes found app switching and scrolling smooth. They differ on heavy games. Beebom measured about 58 FPS in BGMI and Call of Duty and about 30 FPS in Genshin Impact. MySmartPrice Gear saw Genshin Impact crash on high settings and a BGMI benchmark error, though it called casual gaming comfortable. Smartprix Bytes noted a Dimensity 7360 rival is well ahead. FoneArena and NotebookCheck gave only specs.
Display: 5.9/10
The panel is a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1125-nit peak, according to the outlets that listed specs. Those that judged it were unenthusiastic. Smartprix Bytes criticised the lower resolution and IPS panel against full-HD and AMOLED rivals, and put typical brightness at 700 nits. Beebom measured the same typical brightness and noted it is lower than the K14 5G’s. MySmartPrice Gear said display quality could have been better, without measurements. Smartprix Bytes did report good colour coverage on paper. Overall, this is the phone’s clearest compromise.
Software: 7.6/10
Only Smartprix Bytes judged the software, so evidence is thin. It found ColorOS 15 refined, with steady animations, no jitter in app folders and a system that stayed clean after heavy use. It marked the phone down for shipping with Android 15, older than a rival’s Android 16, and for a shorter update lifecycle. Beebom listed Android 15 with ColorOS and two years of OS updates. Smartprix Bytes and FoneArena both noted Oppo’s 48-month fluency promise, which was not tested. Day-to-day, the software looks smooth, but long-term support is not a strength.
Charging: 7.3/10
Every outlet cites 45W SuperVOOC wired charging, and Beebom notes the charger is in the box. Smartprix Bytes tested a full charge in 75 minutes, with more than half the battery after 40 minutes. It also relayed Oppo’s claim of about 30% in 20 to 25 minutes. NotebookCheck judged it faster than the 25W charging on Samsung’s Galaxy F70e. There is no wireless charging. Reports on reverse charging conflict: one Smartprix Bytes article describes 5W reverse charging, while a later comparison says it is unsupported, so check before relying on it.
Design & build: 6.7/10
Outlets agree on IP64 splash and dust protection, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a weight of 212g. Smartprix Bytes praised the finish and camera housing, and the microSD slot and fingerprint sensor, but called the phone heavy and tiring during long scrolling. It also noted IP64 is a step down from the predecessor. Beebom pointed to thick bezels, a big chin, a mono speaker and weaker water protection than the K14 5G. MySmartPrice Gear found the design premium in hand, and NotebookCheck favoured the IP64 rating over the Galaxy F70e’s IP54.
Value: 7.3/10
Outlets see the K14x 5G as reasonably priced, though prices vary between reviews. Beebom was most positive, calling the K series among the best for value and giving ₹18,375 in India, well below the K14 5G at ₹23,898. It also cited launch prices of ₹14,999 and ₹16,999 in India, as did FoneArena. Smartprix Bytes was mixed: the 6,500mAh battery beats rivals, but the HD+ display and Dimensity 6300 look weak against full-HD AMOLED rivals. MySmartPrice Gear called it practical for battery life and smooth use rather than flagship features.

How we put this together
We read the reviews and articles listed above and weigh each by how much it should count: in-depth, hands-on testing with measurements counts most; launch news and press-release rewrites count least; sponsored content is penalised. Category scores are our trust-weighted summary of what those sources found, set to the same 10-point scale reviewers use; the reviewers’ own scores, where published, are listed above. This page was compiled with AI assistance and checked against the source notes. All findings belong to the outlets credited above; follow the links to read their full reviews. How we score.
