Early verdict: only a few in-depth reviews are out so far. We update this page as more reviews are published.

The verdict

This is an early verdict, based on one in-depth review from NotebookCheck plus a specs listing from FoneArena. NotebookCheck found excellent battery life, a bright and accurate display and a capable main camera, but called performance disappointing for the price. It suits buyers who care most about endurance and screen quality over raw speed.

Best for: Buyers who want long battery life and an excellent screen more than top processing power.
Skip it if: You run demanding apps or games, need strong zoom, or want fast charging.

In detail

Camera: 7.7/10

This is an early view: NotebookCheck is the only outlet that judged the cameras. It found the main 200-megapixel camera takes good-looking photos with fine detail and impressive low-light performance, and that the front camera gives very nice selfies, though it tends to overexpose very bright areas. The drawback is range: NotebookCheck notes only a main camera and a low-resolution macro camera, with restricted zoom. FoneArena listed specs, including optical stabilization, 4K recording and Pantone Validated skin tones, but did not assess results, so the two outlets can’t be compared.

Battery life: 9.4/10

NotebookCheck measured 23 hours 42 minutes in its Wi-Fi test, which it says is enough for about two days of average use. It called the 6,500 mAh battery excellent and said it far outlasts the standard Edge 70. FoneArena listed the same capacity, along with 45W wired charging and bypass charging said to reduce heat and battery wear, but did not test any of it. This is a strong result, though it comes from a single outlet’s testing, so treat it as an early finding.

Performance: 5.8/10

This is the weak spot, and the evidence is thin. NotebookCheck said the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 performs below expectations at this price and that demanding apps overwhelm the phone. It did not cite benchmark figures in the review we read. FoneArena only listed the chipset and the vapor chamber cooling system, without any judgement, so there is no second opinion to confirm or challenge the criticism. If you push your phone hard, wait for more reviews.

Display: 9.2/10

NotebookCheck measured the screen and liked the results. Brightness reached 1,400 cd/m² in everyday use and exceeded 4,000 cd/m² with HDR content in smaller areas. Colours in the Natural profile deviated very little from ideal. PWM flicker ran at 361 Hz, which NotebookCheck says most sensitive users should not notice, and response times of 0.8 ms and 1.2 ms suit fast gaming. FoneArena listed a 6.78-inch 1.5K quad-curved OLED with 144Hz and a 5200-nit peak brightness figure, but did not measure it.

Software: 8.2/10

Evidence here is thin and mostly about promises, not day-to-day use. NotebookCheck notes the manufacturer promises five years of security patches until 2031 and three major OS updates. FoneArena listed Android 16 with Google Gemini Live and Circle to Search built in. Neither outlet described how the software feels to use in the reviews we read, so we can’t say whether it is smooth, cluttered or reliable. Treat the update commitments as the manufacturer’s pledge rather than something reviewers have verified.

Charging: too little evidence to score

There is too little evidence to score charging. NotebookCheck is the only outlet to cover it, giving a 45W wired figure and saying a full recharge takes no more than two hours. That is slower than the roughly one-hour full charge we would call quick. It said nothing about wireless charging, so we can’t tell you whether the phone supports it. FoneArena mentioned 45W wired charging and bypass charging, but offered no testing or verdict on how it performs in use.

Design & build: 7.7/10

NotebookCheck found the acetate back looks premium and the phone feels well built, with rounded edges. It also noted a noticeable creaking sound when the chassis is twisted, and that the phone lacks water immersion protection found on more expensive models. FoneArena listed durability specs without judging them: a quad-curved front-and-back chassis, MIL-STD-810H toughness and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. With only one outlet offering a verdict, the creaking may not affect every unit, so it is worth watching for in further reviews.

How we put this together

We read the reviews and articles listed above and weigh each by how much it should count: in-depth, hands-on testing with measurements counts most; launch news and press-release rewrites count least; sponsored content is penalised. Category scores are our trust-weighted summary of what those sources found, set to the same 10-point scale reviewers use; the reviewers’ own scores, where published, are listed above. This page was compiled with AI assistance and checked against the source notes. All findings belong to the outlets credited above; follow the links to read their full reviews. How we score.
